We’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting climate change to help us support local businesses and organisations by raising awareness of the causes and impact of climate change and encouraging practical steps to reduce atmospheric greenhouse gas levels and adapt to or mitigate the impact of climate change to improve climate resilience. Do you want to help us? If you are interested in being involved read on.

We currently have roles in a variety of areas and if you can give a little or a little more or a lot of your time, just let us know. We will be grateful for any help you can give.

For all these opportunities you will need to be comfortable working with businesses, representatives from the local council and other organisations with an interest in business or climate change. Social Media Coordinator

Working alongside our existing Social Media Coordinator to identify and regularly post suitable content which aligns with our aims and principles and to monitor the responses to these posts. If you are a creator, we’d be very excited to hear from you.

Website Coordinator and Content Manager

Working alongside our existing website coordinator to update our current website, making sure it includes all relevant content for our target audience and accurately reflects
the work we are doing. Blogging is also encouraged.

Marketing, Communications and Public Relations Support

Acting on behalf of our Communications and Engagement Sub-Group to produce copy for news outlets, issue reports and press releases and help coordinate campaigns.

Sub-group Members

Working on specific projects which are implemented through our sub-groups, involving some hands-on activities, liaising with businesses and other organisations and generally getting things done.

IT and File Management

Helping us to organise ourselves and sometimes supporting people with technical stuff. If you like a challenge this could be the one for you.

Board Trustees

A senior leadership role on the Board of our charity, which will involve making and overseeing the implementation of decisions and taking the lead on specific campaigns, tactics and actions in order to achieve the strategic aims of HDCCC. This role requires attendance at Board meetings (online or in person) every two months.
