The Harrogate District Climate Change Coalition was set up in response to Harrogate Borough Council’s Notice of Motion supporting measures to address the climate emergency in November 2019. It is a collaborative group of businesses, public sector organisations and voluntary groups, which promotes and implements greenhouse gas reduction activities throughout the Harrogate District.

Members include: Harrogate Borough Councillors, business representatives from key sectors outlined in the Harrogate District Economic Growth Strategy, voluntary community groups, and public sector leaders (including representation from the Public Services Leadership Board).
Current active board members represent the following organisations: CNG Ltd, Goosemoor Organics, HADCA, Harrogate Borough Council, Harrogate College, Harrogate District Hospital, Highways England, North Yorkshire County Council, Techbuyer Ltd, University of Leeds, White Rose Forest, Zero Carbon Harrogate.
